Values

Our values flow from the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Dignity and Respect

Every person who walks through our doors has innate value because they were created in the image of God. We love our patients because Christ loved them first.

“Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.”

— Romans 15:2

Integrity

We do what we say we are going to do. We take responsibility for our actions, maintain a growth mindset, admit our mistakes, and learn from them. We serve the common good, even when it isn’t easy.

“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.”

— Romans 14:12

Excellence

We deliver excellent health care with professionalism. We act thoughtfully to the best of our ability. We plan wisely and take timely action using available information, swiftly changing course, if needed, as other information becomes available.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

— Colossians 3:23

Holistic Care

We see people as more than cases to solve or diagnoses to manage. We see people as eternal beings created by God. Therefore, we provide care and treatments that address the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

“Let us love not merely with words or speech but with actions in truth.”

— 1 John 3:18

Compassion

We are relational, not transactional — that is where true community development begins.

“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.”

— Matthew 14:14

Belonging

We are all on the same team and treat each other as such. We give each other the benefit of the doubt. We step up when we see a need. We know that together we can accomplish more than we can alone.

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” — 1 Corinthians 12:12, 26

Our Story

We share the love of Christ by providing hope and healing for the whole person. Our vision is to continue serving as the full-time medical home for over 1,000 medically underserved Collin County residents. We strive to create a space where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and love while receiving comprehensive medical and spiritual care.

June 2016

In June of 2016, a team of volunteers and partners formed to bring our mission of hope and healing to life: Hope Clinic of Garland, a well-established charitable clinic in Dallas County, welcomed the team into their facility and provided much-needed encouragement and knowledge; the Baptist Immigration Center that generously offered to donate the use of their building; and Empowering Community Health Outreach donated consulting services providing vital direction and structure to our plans.

July 2017

In July of 2017, through the hard work of its volunteers and with community support, Hope Clinic of McKinney began operations one day a week at the Baptist Immigration Center, providing medical services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.

2018

By 2018, clinic operations expanded to two days.

September 2019

September 2019, we relocated to our dedicated clinic space on E. Lamar Street in McKinney, Texas. Our new home allows for increased operating hours to serve more patients.

March 2024

In March of 2024, our board voted to change our name to CommonGood Medical as part of the organization’s strategic vision to better represent its evolving services and prepare for future expansion initiatives. As the clinic continues to grow and expand its services, it became increasingly important to distinguish itself from other non-profit organizations and better reflect the breadth of services offered. Additionally, the new name positions CommonGood Medical for future expansion into new locations, ensuring that even more individuals have access to essential healthcare services.
